How to Disable IPv6 on your Asus Router
This tutorial provides the steps required in order to disable IPv6 on your Asus Router. For the purpose of this article, we choose the Asus RT-AX88U but these steps generally apply to the most relatively new Asus model routers.
Before you start: It is always recommended to backup your router configuration prior to making any changes that may impact the operational components of your system.
Step 1 – Connect to your Routers UI via a Web Browser
Open up your favorite web browser and navigate to the default gateway of your Asus router. This address is typically http://192.168.1.1.
Step 2 – Locate the IPv6 Menu
Locate the IPv6 configuration from the left navigation menu bar
Step 3 – Set Connection Type “Disable
Step 3 – Reboot router
Reboot the router to save and apply settings.
